Presented by Sigest, the study entitled ‘ Milan housing: real estate market and 2020 emerging trends ’, which is now in its 7th edition, introduces for the first time an analysis of residential initiatives beyond the Circonvallazione ringroad, where 38,000 new homes could be marketed by 2030.
Despite the lockdown period, the study finds a healthy market: new developments within the ring road have increased compared to research carried out in 2019 (for a total of 117 residential projects identified) and sales have remained at high levels.
In the survey reference period (June 2019 – May 2020) 58% of total sales were represented by very recent housing developments: almost 6 out of 10 homes were put on the market in the last 12 months.
The prices of available apartments increased by 6.5% in the Center of Milan and by 5% in the Bastioni and in the Circonvallazione areas.
