On November 22nd, in the presence of Mayor Giuseppe Sala, the “Teatro degli Angeli” (Angels’ Theatre) was inaugurated in Milan at Via Pietro Colletta 21 in the Porta Romana district. Dils is one of the main supporters of the project, contributing through direct sponsorship and a fundraising campaign involving its network of investors, partners, and clients who enthusiastically joined this initiative.
The “Teatro degli Angeli” originated from the Teatro Oscar initiative, founded in 2019 by Giacomo Poretti, Gabriele Allevi, and Luca Doninelli. This cultural entity has already distinguished itself in Milan’s cultural scene with its original programming and its focus on younger generations.
Located within the Parrocchia degli Angeli Custodi (Parish of the Guardian Angels), from which it takes its name, the theater is a groundbreaking innovation in the Italian cultural landscape thanks to its inclusive nature and unique features. It houses the “Casa Teatro Umana Mente,” the first theater training school in Italy open to people with disabilities. This school was created through a collaboration between Teatro de Gli Incamminati, Fondazione UMANA MENTE Allianz, and the University of Pavia’s Officine Teatrali.
The theater features a 150-seat auditorium with a stage fully accessible to wheelchair users, the first of its kind in Milan, making it a model of accessibility and inclusion. Additionally, the school’s classrooms ensure the space remains active and vibrant throughout the week, even during daytime hours. The “Teatro degli Angeli” aims to become a key community hub, promoting social connection and inclusion with a special focus on younger generations.
Dils firmly believes in the value of Give Back, a principle deeply rooted in the company’s identity.
“Our success is inextricably linked to the well-being of the neighborhoods where we operate,” said Giuseppe Amitrano, CEO of Dils. “Participating in initiatives like the Teatro degli Angeli allows us to express our gratitude to the city while actively contributing to urban regeneration, creating a positive impact for the entire community. A heartfelt thanks goes to our partners and clients—Abitare In, Coima, Fondo PRS Italy II capitalized by Partners Group and Investire SGR, Il Prisma, Kervis SGR, Scannell Properties, and Yard Reaas —who embraced our proposal to participate in the fundraising campaign for the Teatro degli Angeli. Together, we can truly make a difference by creating inclusive spaces capable of inspiring emotions, engagement, and authentic connections. We hope that similar ‘places of the soul’ will spread to other neighborhoods.”
