GVA Redilco acted as advisor in the sale of ‘La Forgiatura’ complex – an integrated campus comprising an energy efficient urban regeneration of about 30,000 sqm in the Certosa area, in the north-west of Milan – to prime foreign institutional investors.
The regeneration project first involved the renewal of about 15,000 sqm of industrial architecture, to which another 10,000 sqm of new construction was added. The campus subsequently annexed a 3,000 sqm area on which a new building of about 4,000 sqm is currently under construction. The overall development includes shared spaces and green areas for a total of about 10,000 sqm, in addition to 430 parking spaces in the underground floors and is fully leased to prime multinational companies.
The former industrial complex – one of the oldest forges in Milan – has been redesigned and regenerated by RealStep – a real estate investment company – with the support of Studio Giuseppe Tortato Architetti. RealStep will continue to manage the complex in partnership with institutional investors.
