GVA Redilco acted as advisor on the sale of an 80,000 sqm ex-industrial area to Prologis, a World’s Leader in Logistics real estate and owner in Italy of over 1 million sqm of logistics buildings and build-to-suit development land with high quality standards.
The site, where Nokia-Siemens industrial production was once carried out, is strategically located for last mile goods distribution.
This is also a virtuous example of the regeneration and conversion of an abandoned industrial site, located about 18 km east of Milan in the municipality of Cassina Dè Pecchi, along the M2 metro line.
This project will allow Prologis to promote the growth of local employment and the local socio-economic fabric. The area was acquired from Officine Mak which prepared it for sale with great professionalism, through demolition and reclamation of the old industrial plant.
Aligned with a sustainable development and innovative strategy, Prologis, with a total investment of over € 20 million, has assumed a project for the construction (by 2020) of two new buildings for last mile logistics, totaling 26,000 sqm – BREEAM Very Good certificated.
