Dils has recently advised Prologis on the acquisition of a logistics park covering approx. 50,000 sqm in Rome, La Rustica.
The property consists of five grade “A” buildings, an office building, outdoor areas and parking lots and is entirely let to a public institution for document archiving. It occupies a privileged position in the city’s eastern quadrant, right in front of the Grande Raccordo Anulare, which represents a strategic location for “last mile” distribution.
Alfredo Mauri, Head of Logistics & Industrial at Dils: “This transaction confirms how last mile assets continue to attract the attention and interest of investors and operators in the logistics sector, with a demand that will continue to grow and consolidate also in 2022”.
Sandro Innocenti, Senior Vice President and Country Manager of Prologis Italy: “This acquisition is in an area and market where we expect growth in demand and rents over time, regardless of the economic situation. Aside from the prestige of the current tenant, e-commerce, door-to-door food delivery and drug distribution are the categories which are most likely to show an interest in the Prologis logistics park in La Rustica”.
