GVA Redilco has acted as advisor in the second phase of the sale of ‘La Forgiatura’ complex – an integrated campus in the Certosa area, in the north-west of Milan, comprising an energy efficient urban regeneration of about 30,000 sqm, to a prime foreign institutional investor.
The previous phase of the sale, a regeneration project relating to about 15,000 sqm of industrial architecture in addition to the new construction of another 7 buildings comprising 10,000 sqm of offices and showrooms, was closed and communicated to the market last February. The new deal refers to a new building called ‘Arcadia’ of about 4,000 sqm leased to a prime international tenant.
The former industrial complex was one of the oldest forges in Milan and has been redesigned and regenerated by real estate investment company RealStep with the support of Studio Giuseppe Tortato Architetti. The site has been transformed into a multifunctional center for prime brands with a strong international vocation and aims to host the service and communications sectors’ most creative businesses as well as global fashion, design and the consumer brands.
